EndNote desktop guide: EndNote online

EndNote online is a stand alone product which can be used on it's own or in conjunction with EndNote desktop. It is convenient but lacks significant features which are of particular interest to researches/staff. However there are reasons why you would want to use EndNote online in conjunction with EndNote desktop, notably

1. It facilitates sharing your library with other uses as part of a project
2. It facilitates sharing a library with yourself for use with desktop software both on and off campus
3. It provides another method for backing up your library
