At the Peer Support Leader training, you will have filled in employment documents, had your Right to Work (passport, etc.) photocopied and signed your appointment letter. This ensures you are on the BU payroll system ready for your first pay claim.
You cannot start work until employment documents are completed and your Right to Work has been verified.
You will receive an email from PTHP@bournemouth.ac.uk (BU’s Part-Time Hourly Paid Department) confirming you are able to start work - it is vital that you do not start work unless you have received this email.
If you have not received the email before the start of induction week, please notify both the Central PAL Team and your PAL Academic Course Contact.
As an employer, we have a responsibility to prevent illegal working in the UK. It is a criminal offence for us to employ someone who is not entitled to work in the UK, therefore Right to Work checks must be carried out BEFORE any new employee starts work.

We can only accept original documentation (no photocopies, scanned versions or photos) and the failure to bring in one of the above documents to the training session may result in a delay to your start date.

You may be contacted by PTHP about any missing fields in these forms. Please ensure you have checked your emails for this.
You will also need to complete the online heath questionnaire before you can begin work as a PAL Leader. You will have been reminded about this when you signed up to the PAL Leader training. Please find this in the box below.

It may feel like you are providing personal information again, but that is because once submitted, the form is only accessible to our Occupational Health Team, not Human Resources.

Please note, your appointment is subject to medical clearance and is a key part of the recruitment process. Your start date with BU is reliant on receipt of your completed questionnaire.
