Welcome to our guide on wellbeing.
We have put together lots of resources on nutrition, exercise, mental health...etc. Use the links below (or the tabs above) to navigate through the pages.
NB This was compiled before the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, so some of the suggestions may not be viable during the current lockdown and while social distancing measures are in place.
Books - and libraries - are good for you! Reading reduces stress and depression, and research from the charity Booktrust, based on a survey of 1,500 adults, reveals that 76% of adults say reading improves their life and makes them feel good.
During the coronavirus pandemic and while our campus is closed, why not check out what's available in our e-book collection at BU via the Library catalogue. You can use keywords such as fiction or literature or poetry - or whatever topic or genre you are interested in.
You can also join, for free, any of the local public libraries in your area. During lockdown, if you're not already a member, you can register online at LibrariesWest as a temporary user, which will give you access to a huge range of e-books, e-audiobooks and e-magazines. See their online registration here.
Please tell us about your experience of using libraries. Can you recommend any good books to help others improve their wellbeing? Your comments will be completely anonymous.
