Using the new mySearch: Home

What's happened to the previous version of mySearch?

  • This mySearch replaces the previous library catalogue system and is a great way to find all the resources you need.
  • Although it works in a different way to the previous version of mySearch, you can apply the same searching skills and techniques to get the best results. There is guidance to help you develop your search skills on our Search Techniques Guide, and you can book onto a workshop via the Brightspace Study Skills area.

  • You can of course use a similar database to the old mySearch which you’ll find on the Brightspace library area – look for the EBSCO Host Database link underneath mySearch.
  • You can also search any particular database we subscribe to by finding your subject in the Subject Resources list or looking in the A-Z list of resources.
  • If you need any help searching on the library’s systems you can:

    • Get in touch with us via 'Click to Chat'

    • Contact your Faculty Library Team to arrange a 1-2-1 appointment

    • Use the help guides or videos below
