Welcome to BU to all new Postgraduate Research Students!  We hope you are settling in and looking forward to starting your research.

Library & Learning Support are here to support you throughout your time at BU.  We want you to have access to the best services, guidance, and resources at every stage of your research journey.

Online induction sessions have been arranged to introduce you to our library resources and help you to make the most of the support we offer.  All are welcome, including existing students who would like a refresher.

Library workshops

The library offers the following workshops as part of Doctoral College's Researcher Development programme:

  • Originality and plagiarism (Domain C: Research Governance and Organisation)
  • Managing research Data (Domain C: Research Governance and Organisation)
  • Managing your citations using EndNote (Domain A: Knowledge and Intellectual Ability)
  • Developing a search strategy and using researcher tools (Domain A: Knowledge and Intellectual Ability)

These sessions can be booked via the Doctoral College pages in Brightspace.

We also offer generic study skills sessions.
