PAL Academic Course Contact Guide: SciTech Strategy

Important: the information on this page is for the 23-24 academic year.

SciTech has been confirmed to be delivering PAL sessions face-to-face for the 23-24.

Front loaded approach - 13 sessions in total

Semester 1

  • 10 sessions delivered weekly (weeks 13-22)

Semester 2

  • 3 sessions at ‘key touch-points’:
    • Beginning of semester 2 (suggested week 32)
    • Mid semester (suggested week 37)
    • Pre-exams (suggested week 45)

This framework is with the exception of the department of Psychology, who have decided to distribute sessions differently within the parameters of their budgets.

*There may be some variation in these weeks where sessions are not in a position to start in week 13.

As part of this year's strategy, PAL Leaders are allocated an hour session during Induction Week to carry out any welcome activities with their seminar group.
