New TEL Tools!

by Peer Assisted Learning on 2020-11-16T14:53:00+00:00 | 0 Comments

Hi everyone,

The Central PAL Team have recently found some great new virtual tools, which we have added to our TEL tools [Technology Enhanced Learning] guide on PAL Central for you to use in your PAL sessions - why not try one in your next session!

These tools include:

  • Wheel of names - you can input all of the names from your register/session, and the generator will randomly pick one in a colourful, visual way.
  • Virtual Corkboard - This tool is similar to Padlet. The corkboard is an anonymous tool to gather information in a visual and familiar way through sticky notes.
  • Miro - Miro acts as a virtual whiteboard, where you can draw, add shapes, arrows, and use templates to help deliver your activities

We've created some demonstration versions (as well as more information and guidance) of these tools for you to explore here: TEL Tools. We have also provided information here about other tools such as Padlet, Kahoot, and Mentimeter.

If you have found any online tools yourself that have worked well in your sessions, we'd love to know! You can contact us at PAL@bournemouth.ac.uk.
